The Rainbow Bridge

This is part of my AP drawing and painting portfolio. My theme is how people experience the loss of a pet. I chose to base this piece on the rainbow bridge poem, which is a popular poem about pets in the afterlife and what happens to them. I wanted to reflect the bittersweetness of losing a pet, but how happy they are even once they are gone.
